How to check for those dust bunnies on your dslr sensor?

after 'Auto-Level'...

I did some research over net on these dust grunge/bunnies/nuisance.
A very simple and quick check that one could do are these steps...(courtesy of
http://www.pbase.com/copperhill/image/15473243
1. Set your camera's aperture to say f22,
2. Shoot the bright blue (doesn't have to be blue though) sky,
3. Open up the photo on Photoshop CS, then set 'Auto-Level', ta da....prepare to be horrified?
I did mine and I never thought it is this bad! See the picture of the sky *before* and *after* the Photoshop CS 'Auto-Level'. I definitely need some cleaning to be done on the sensor.

DSLR sensor cleaning anyone?
|
|
|
see them?

|
|
|
arrrgh, see them? annoyed i am!!!

Have anyone attempted cleaning their DSLR CMOS sensor before? Any low cost fixes that can be shared with me? Sending my ND70 for a service will definitely cost me an arm and a leg, so I think! I was horrifed, recoiled in awe when I saw some of those dust-like grunges shown consistently on my precious photos. So far eyeballing on each of the photos effected (quite a no. of them actuall), I counted two obvious ones. It's down right annoying. I don't frequently opened up my lenses since I gotten this slr, err why should I when I only have the kit lense (for now). I post two photos here for our viewing displeasure. I am so irritated with the rest. Sabar aje.
So anyone had done before, I appreciate the tips* (and tricks) to safely get rid these grunges...
tips* = tools, cost and steps.

Crater Lake, at last we finally got there. My first impression of the lake was, so bluishly huge. This lake was formed from a series of volcanic activities aeons ago. Actually I thought it was due to the asteroids or a huge meteor, well not for this one. Enjoy the pics...

Some random pix

These are some of the photos that I've taken in the past that I would like to share with the world. The Cannon Beach was taken with the rule of third in mind, whether it work or not, need you guys to comment. The .texture... tu is actually my duvet which I purposely crumpled because to take it with slight crumpleness will not make the texture obvious. The tree at the Dawson Creek Park, is one of my personal favourite, still applying rule of third.

It was a long, tiring but worthy trip...It took us a solid three and half hours going through the winding road up to this volcanic mountain. The route up to St. Helen is pretty similar to the one up to Cameron Highlands (Malaysia). It was so winding that poor Aniq puked, dah lah baju spare tak bawa, so we had to buy one for him at one (and the only one) of the gift shop. One thing I noticed, at each of the viewpoints, we would surely be greeted with the small hairy squirrel (Sciurus caro apa ntah). Agaknya dia orang ni lapar kot as the place is pretty arid and deserty. Aniq seems to love chasing them around. The park rangers advised the visitors not to feed (nor pat) them. Nanti kena gigit, dapat rabies, pergh naya! I actually climbed up the stairs to the Windy Ridge viewpoint, punyalah letih kaki, rasa cam nak tercabut. Anyway, overall we liked this trip because of the scenic views, and getting up close to the mountain (and also the chance to get a close to the squirrel).

We reached there at 7 p.m., almost dawn and not much to be seen, drove down to the Piers, did a little walk here and there and had dinner.
